Company Profile

Education Support Programmes Pty Ltd is a private company based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The company was founded by its current directors in 1995. Since its foundation it has catered for the educational requirements of secondary and tertiary students in Australasia.

Company History

Education Support Programmes was originally established to enhance the learning skills of Queensland students. Company operations commenced in 1995 by providing classes on Learning Strategies to improve student’s ability to succeed in senior schooling and university. Lectures and workshops were provided on time management, goal setting, study strategies, assignment writing, stress management, note-taking and motivation. Because of the directors’ experience in marking the Queensland Core Skills (the test undertaken by all Queensland year 12 students that forms the basis for entry into university) for the Board of Senior Secondary Schools Studies, and their work preparing their own students to sit for the test, they offered preparation courses to other students as well.

In 1996 the company began writing and producing software for high schools throughout Queensland on the preparation of students for the Queensland Core Skills Test (QCST). This was followed in 1997 by computer software on the writing and presentation of assignments for high school and university students as well as a package to help students to develop strategies for success in examinations. These packages proved to be popular throughout Australia and New Zealand. In the same year the company also wrote and produced programmes for students in Victoria undertaking the General Achievement Test (a test similar to the Queensland Core Skills Test).

Since 1997 Education Support Programmes has produced two workbooks to assist Queensland senior students in their preparation for their Queensland Core Skills Test. These books have been very successful.

The Company has now produced two additional workbooks to prepare year 9 students for the NAPLAN test. The books are the Year 9 NAPLAN Test Literacy Workbook and the Year 9 NAPLAN Test Numeracy Workbook.
